Welcome to our final social blog of the year! It’s been a great year here at AquaQ, and the final month was no different…

Festive Football

On December 10th, a few of us got together for a morning 5-a-side football tournament at Stormont Playball.

Five teams of 5 took part, with host of the event Simon Frazer conveniently winning the final in a 4-3 thriller. The winning team consisted of Simon Frazer, Andrew Barrow, Dominic Reynolds, Jamie Lamont and James Massey.

Player of the tournament was Josh ‘Messi’ Robbins, who played excellently from start to finish.

The day was great craic and with no red cards or injuries, it was the perfect way to warm up for the Christmas party later that evening.

The AquaQ Christmas Party

The Christmas party is always the most anticipated get together of the year, as the team gathers to celebrate the successes of the year and let loose. And this year it was more anticipated than ever as it would be our first AquaQ Christmas party since 2019!

After a few years of pandemic delays, we finally got together this year at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast. The evening started with a drinks reception, alongside a performance from our multitalented colleague Jason from Cap On The Wall.

This was followed by a three course meal, during which a few year end awards were handed out and we were treated to some stand up comedy from special guests Aaron Butler and William Thompson.

For after dinner entertainment, we had a photo booth set up by GO Photobooth NI, and the dancefloor was packed until 2am. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful night and a wonderful year!
