AquaQ Bake Off

January is often considered a month for new beginnings and self-improvement. It is also a good time to perform some reflection on what was accomplished in the previous year. AquaQ Analytics really had an excellent year in 2021 in terms of our technical accomplishments. On top of this, the return of the in-person social events became a huge triumph over the year. Throughout January, we will be reflecting on some of our favourite social events of the previous year in order to celebrate their success, scale and fun.

We recently held our very own AquaQ Bake Off, with the hopes of finding our very own Giuseppe! Some of our colleagues baked some home goods and brought them into the office for judging by Robert Coen, Vivien Monaghan and Jamie Halligan.

We had a wide range of bakes from Smarties Cookies to Custard Tarts, and of course everyone’s favourite… Brownies.

It was a tight competition but in the end our judges decided that our 2021 AquaQ Bake Off champion was Anna Andrews who baked a delicious and very impressive looking Chocolate Log Cake! Anna was presented with a personalised AquaQ bake off apron and amazon voucher.

Cara Harley came in second place with her Lemon and Poppy Seed Cupcakes that went down a hit with the other bakers.

By all accounts the event was a big success. Congratulations to the winners from last year. Hopefully we make this an annual event by doing it again this year!
