Blog Life At Data Intellect 13 Jan 2026

Step into Christmas and Wrap up the year with us…

Welcome back to the Data Intellect blog, this time combining both November and December. I hope you didn’t miss us too much in November, we kept ourselves busy.

Free Friday Drinks

November saw the last Free Friday Drinks of the year! Despite the sharp turn towards colder weather, this didn’t seem to be a deterrent as the night was as busy as ever!

With the Christmas Party happening later in December this year, Free Friday Drinks will return in January with an exciting twist, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Bake off

To conclude our bake sales for Cook for Gaza, we had our annual bake off competition! With some incredible bakes submitted, it was up to the judges to pick the winner!

This year, Cara was unable to defend her title as Emma took the prize this year! A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and a huge thank you to everyone who donated to the Cook for Gaza!

ChalkGPT (Grand Pool Tournament)

You all know what November means, Pool Tournament. Singles tournaments and Team tournaments! Free Drink and Food platters! Fun! Who could ask for more? It was another great night of friendly competition, and the next one will be back around before you know it.
Well done to the winning team!

Skydive

Four members made it to Skydiving, Sarah, Lucy-Jane, Jack and Katrina, plummeted to the earth from a height only the pilots would know. We raised £2725 for this a few months ago for Air Abulance NI and finally the weather was good enough to make the jump, unless you were Rebecca in which case an injured limb prevented you.

QTC

As always, our QTC carried on through the two months seeing BDE keep the throne, HK challenged the leader board but just fell short of Pour Decisions. Brainiacs across the globe, luckily no one is being tested on their kdb skills, or we might be concerned the bis dev team was stealing the throne!

Holiday Parties

All regions turned up and out for their Holiday parties, showing Data Intellect off on a global stage, much the same as Santa clause around this time of year. Starting off strong, Singapore kicked off the festive period, and shortly followed by Canada and then London, before the big kick off at HQ in Belfast!

Canada And Singapore Holiday Dinners

Two very different climates, but a very dasher and dancer turn out from both teams!

We look forward to seeing you in the new year!!
