The sun will come out... Today!

The sun has finally come out at a more regular schedule (the fact that it has come out at all breaks the schedule) in Belfast, and what an opportune time with the yearly May walking challenge on the horizon. While it felt a bit quieter than March, we had our regularly scheduled events as well as a couple of standalones this month. Some QTC entries from last quarter and charity races abound!

Free Friday Drinks!

That’s right, we made it, Free Friday Drinks in the daylight! The outside cover was still hanging overhead but the sunlight crept in. We had a great evening of pizza and drinks during this FFD with a little bit of dancing towards the end of the night. Thanks to all who came out and see you next month!

Paint and Prosecco

We had a return of the popular Paint and Prosecco night (and Schloer but that’s not as catchy). There wasn’t an official theme but there was a pattern of fruit and drink items across the board, I think people painted with their stomachs!

It was a fun night of painting where the paint managed to stay on the canvas and not on anyone’s clothes. I think for this we can be considered experts.

Who knew that there was such artistic talent here?

Gaming

While not expecting as many people for this month’s Board Games Night we had over 10 people attend! Luckily I always bring a couple of big group games. Board games are a siren’s lure, it’s very hard to resist.

We played a couple of different games, including poetry for Neanderthals, Dixit, and Uno, and I consider it a wild success when we can all smile at each other after making the other pick up 15 cards when they only had 1 card left. Uno, number one family and friends destroyer after Monopoly, but we made it through! See you next month!

Bouldering in Belfast

We made it to the boulders more than once this month and we have the action shots to prove it! We may resemble goats when climbing sideways on the wall but when someone is climbing upside down we are contractually obligated to sing the Spiderman theme song, I don’t make the rules. We continue ever upwards!

New York QTC

We had a late addition to the QTC from last quarter in New York! Looks like a fair few people were able to make it out which is great to see, and perhaps a special guest at the same time! While not eligible on the leader board (You snooze, you lose!) it looked to be an enjoyable night out.

Ace Race

The sun is also out in Singapore although I don’t think that is as much as a surprise compared to Belfast. We had few people in Singapore take part in the JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) challenge run this month! It was a 5k run for charity and it looks like it had a good turnout. Well done to the runners for completing the race!

Next month: get out your boots that were made for walking for the May Walkathon!
