The Royal Princess Training Award

We’re delighted to share that Data Intellect has been recognised with a Princess Royal Training Award for our Graduate Gateway Programme.

Now in its eleventh year, the Princess Royal Training Awards, run by the City & Guilds Foundation, honour organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to learning and development and highlight the tangible impact of exceptional training on both organisations and individuals.

At Data Intellect, our vision is to “realise the potential within.” The Gateway Programme is the purest expression of that vision in action.

The award aligns directly with our values: People are our greatest asset, talent can be developed rather than simply hired and investing in People creates lasting, meaningful impact for individuals and organisations alike.

The impact of our approach to People development has been significant, both for the individuals we’ve trained and for the organisation as a whole. By investing in People and equipping them with specialist skills, we’ve created a pathway for our People to work with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.

This has given them international experience in major hubs such as London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, transforming their career prospects, confidence and long-term earning potential.

The core lesson is simple:

Talent can be built, not just hired.

Organisations facing specialist skills shortages can invest in building their own pipeline, embedding their values from day one, and creating loyalty that external hiring never can.

This award sits alongside the work we’ve been doing across employer brand and accreditation, and it’s a brilliant marker of how far Gateway has come. It also lands at a difficult moment for graduates across the UK as employers pull back on entry-level hiring.

Against that backdrop, our continued commitment to bringing new graduates into the industry and investing properly in their development, matters more than ever. Gateway isn’t a one-off intake, it’s a continuous programme. We’ve welcomed new cohorts in January and July this year and we’ll welcome another before Christmas.

While the award highlights the success of the programme, it is ultimately a celebration of our People behind it: those who designed it, delivered it, championed it, and, most importantly, those who took part in it.

Together, we’ve created opportunities for learning, growth and development that have led to meaningful results for our People, our organisation and our wider community.
