World Mental Health Day
Every year on October 10th is World Mental Health day, and to mark the occasion we had lunch in the office, accompanied by a talk from our Mental Health First Aiders. The talk discussed how important it is to prioritise your mental health, and how to go about doing this, as well as how important it can be to check up regularly with your friends and co-workers. The Mental Health First Aiders also discussed their role and how they can help, alongside sharing helpful resources that are available both within and outside of work.
This day also marked the launch of the new wellness room in the office, a small space where you can take time out of the day to relax and clear your head. A big thank you to our Mental Health First Aiders and to Cara for creating the wellness room!

Free Friday Drinks
Free Friday Drinks continued its new residency at the Sunflower this month. There was a great turnout, showing a lot of love for the new venue, with the usual free drinks and the brand new addition of free pizza!

Paint and Spooksecco
Craft Night returned this month, with a spooky theme to commemorate Halloween! For this event, we each had a go at decorating some fancy wallpaper designs with all kinds of scary characters!
The crafting was accompanied by free food and drinks (including some regular non-spooky prosecco), and you can see everyone's artworks on the left. Stay tuned for more crafting events as we approach the end of the year!

Singapore Meetup
Whilst the rest of us are getting used to the dark days of early winter, the team over in the ever warm and sunny Singapore had their monthly Friday food and drinks with some new arrivals!

Quarterly Teams Challenge
And just like that 2024 is almost over! October marked the beginning of the last quarter of the year and the slow countdown to Christmas, so for this quarter we got a head start on everyone's favourite festive activity: bowling!
As it currently sits, 10 Peirpont Bowling Team stand (literally) unopposed at the top of the leaderboard, with a score of 113! If you think you have what it takes to beat them, get out there and compete with your team!
A reminder that for this quarter, not only are there bonus points for team photos, there are also bonus points for a clever team name, so wit can make up for a severe lack of bowling skills! It's NEVER been easier to win a Quarterly Team Challenge, so get out there and have fun!

Halloween Costume Contest
It wouldn't have been right to let October go by without any Halloween Costumes!
This month our annual Halloween Costume Contest was held once again, with awards being given out for the best costume for both people and their pets! There were many great submissions, featuring all the Halloween classics from Vampires to Bats, and many more characters from our favourite films!
It was hard to make a decision, but in the end Sam won best costume and Bear won best Pet costume! Congratulations to Sam and Bear for having such creative costumes!
