The team here at Data Intellect have created a whitepaper which is focussed on designing and building real time, event driven KDB-X systems. The majority of design considerations currently stem from our experience with kdb+ rather than KDB-X, but we will keep the paper up to date as the KDB-X product is enhanced.
We believe the paper is a useful resource for anyone working in a real time environment, covering aspects of high level design as well as lower level development and performance considersations.
