Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a QA role
  • Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data across backend (e.g. Python, Java, kdb+, Postgres) and frontend (e.g. React) systems.
  • Strong programming skills for automation of manual test plans.
  • Solid knowledge of SDLC, agile and appropriate tooling
  • Ability to collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA team members to define and execute test plans and strategies.
  • Use of Gherkin/Cucumber for testing in a Behaviour Driven Development environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with development team to find and fix bugs.
  • Ability to analyse, document, and track bugs.
  • Basic SQL skills for data investigation

Desirable requirements (highly advantageous but not essential):

  • Basic kdb+ knowledge/willingness to learn kdb+
  • Use of AWS infrastructure and UNIX/Linux skills 
  • Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking

  • Use a range of architectures, tools and frameworks

  • Recommend, implement and knowledge share new ideas and innovations
  • Work as part of a dynamic team liaising directly with clients
  • Produce clean and efficient solutions based on specifications
